Elisabet Soto

Bio
Elisabet Soto was born and raised in Cuba. She migrated to the United States in 1995 under the Cuban Refugee Program due to political issues. Since her arrival, she has gone through the immigration process alongside her husband. Through hard work and determination, both became proud U.S. citizens. They have built their lives in the U.S. with their children and extended family.
She is a bilingual paralegal specializing in immigration law, with over six years of experience. Elisabet is a dedicated, client-focused professional with a strong background in both legal and technical fields. As a paralegal, she has successfully prepared and filed various legal documents for cases such as Asylum, Provisional Unlawful Presence Waivers (I-601A), Consular Processing, and Petitions for Alien Relatives (I-130).
Before transitioning to the legal field, she built a diverse career as a Mechanical Engineer and Architectural Drafter. This unique background equipped her with strong attention to detail, process management skills, and a problem-solving mindset that she now applies to her legal work. She is highly adaptable and committed to making a meaningful contribution wherever she serves.
Elisabet is also very active in supporting the Hispanic community. She is currently a member of the Latin American Council, which helps Latino families in Howard County—especially supporting children’s academic success in school. She is excited to bring her education, skills, and passion for immigration to serve the clients at Griffith Immigration Law Firm.
