Claudia Vasquez, Esq.
Bio
Claudia Vasquez is an Associate Attorney at Griffith Immigration Law, where she represents clients in a wide range of immigration matters, including applications for permanent residency, naturalization, I-601 and I-601A waivers, and U Nonimmigrant Visas. She brings a client-centered approach informed by her bilingual background and deep personal connection to immigration.
A first-generation Latina born and raised in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, Claudia draws on her family’s immigration journey from Argentina to serve clients with empathy, cultural awareness, and practical insight. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where she gained extensive hands-on experience advocating for both English- and Spanish-speaking clients.
During law school, Claudia served as a Rule 19 Student Attorney at the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic, representing individuals and small businesses in federal tax controversies. She also gained experience clerking in private tax law firms, where she supported compliance, audits, and complex tax matters. This background allows Claudia to identify and address tax-related issues that often intersect with immigration cases—particularly in matters involving admissibility, public charge considerations, waivers, and future immigration planning.
Prior to her legal career, Claudia spent more than a decade working in health care policy and legislative analysis, advising private payers, pharmaceutical companies, and government agencies on complex regulatory and policy reforms. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Policy & Management and a Master of Science in Healthcare Policy & Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
Outside of work, Claudia enjoys traveling with her husband, hiking with their three dogs, and exploring new restaurants.
