Cristal A. Perez

Cristal A. Perez was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She later moved to Maryland during her teenage years and has resided there ever since. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and brings a deep cultural understanding to her work with immigrant communities.

Cristal holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from Stevenson University, an ABA-accredited institution (May 2014). With over a decade of experience in immigration law, Cristal plays a key leadership role in both legal operations and firm administration as the firm’s Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Cristal manages the entire USCIS department, overseeing a team responsible for a wide range of immigration matters, including adjustment of status (AOS), waivers, consular processing, family-based petitions, immigrant visas, and other complex USCIS filings. She directs case strategy implementation, supervises workflows, and ensures that all matters are handled efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with firm standards and USCIS requirements. In addition, she leads the development and execution of standard operating procedures, ensuring consistency and excellence across the department.

Cristal also manages core Human Resources functions, including employee onboarding and offboarding, policy implementation, performance oversight, and personnel coordination. She is responsible for payroll administration, benefits management, and time-off tracking, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency across the firm. Her operational oversight supports both staff well-being and organizational efficiency.

Known for her strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and hands-on leadership style, Cristal is deeply invested in building genuine relationships at work. She enjoys connecting with colleagues, collaborating across teams, and often takes time to stop by simply to say hello. She works closely with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff to streamline processes, mentor team members, and enhance the client experience from intake through case completion.

Outside of work, Cristal is a devoted wife and mother to two children, a daughter and a son; and a proud dog mom. She loves spending time with her “little hearts,” enjoys a good espresso, laughs loudly, and never passes up a chance to dance and have a good time. When she can, Cristal treasures slow mornings and moments that allow her to recharge and connect with her family.
