Bio
Jinette Minaya joined our firm in May 2020 and has since become an integral member of the litigation team. She concentrates on asylum, cancellation of removal, immigration bonds, and cases involving criminal immigration issues. As a first-generation American with proud Dominican roots, Jinette brings both personal insight and professional dedication to her work.
Her passion for immigration law is deeply rooted in her own family history as her grandfather emigrated from the Dominican Republic in the early 1970s. His journey and determination to create a better life in the United States sparked Jinette’s lifelong interest in the immigrant experience and inspired her commitment to helping immigrant communities thrive.
Jinette believes in the power of the American immigrant experience and finds great purpose in helping clients overcome legal obstacles to build brighter futures. For her, securing legal status is more than a case, it’s a life-changing opportunity that opens the door to stability, growth, and new beginnings.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Baltimore and outside of work, Jinette treasures time with her daughter and family. Her compassion, cultural awareness, and unwavering commitment to bridge language and legal gaps make her a trusted advocate and an essential part of our firm’s mission.
